Okay, so i have made the same mistake....
asking to be scouted is one of the worst things to do.... all you have to do is wait, and then someone will find you. Another thing to do is maybe make more posts.... so that people can find you...
and you would be scouting material or something like that...
you're pictures aren't crap, but then again they arnt "the best"
also, people have been getting mean in the art portal and voting low scores on everything and now leaving reviews why....
so... you might be okay... but I'm not so certain....
Your certainly right... Thanks for the comment! It's really helpful! Yeah, your right that my pics aren't crap but far from perfect. I'll have to be careful about those mean people at the art portal when I'm scouted. But then again, there's always room for improvement...
But asking in your own newspost should be fine, the rules say that you shouldn´t PM people to attempt getting scouted, although making daily/hourly blog posts ain´t any better. Same advice as the other guy: be patient BUT you can always make a newspost when you upload any new (quality) art, as long as you don´t spam 5 billion a day.
As for adding signatures, it´s a nice idea but you should make them blend in better by making them look like the background a bit more or by making them a part of the picture. In this pic the sig annoys me because it feels copy-pasted over the drawing.
Well my signature skills aren't that quite good... Plus I'm still learning other stuff that are complicated that only professional artists that do. Sorry for the nuisance about the "sig" thing. Great advice coming from you, I appreciate you stopping by. I'll try my best to improve my next one....

I recommend you to the portal. A word of advice though. It might be a good idea to put your signature in their. Whether it be your NG username or what have you.
